Branding Applications & Artwork Requirements
It's important we get the right artwork files from you in order to set up your branding.
The preferred format is .AI, .EPS, or Hi Res PDF Print Files using PMS colours.
In most cases these files will be ones supplied to you by the graphic designer who created your logo or artwork.
It's important that the files have been set up for print, using PMS colour tones, fonts converted to outlined and shapes expanded. If these steps are missed, there is a risk of the font being replaced when opened in our system or the printers system, and the look of the artwork changing when scaled, and your colours being reproduced incorrectly.
The following branding applications can use file types such as;
Embroidery Options
- Standard Embroidery - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res bitmap image with 300dpi+ | Max of 15 Colours
- Laser Engraved Patches - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS
- Felt Applique - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res bitmap image with 300dpi+ | The design needs to be a thick style with no intricate or small detailing
- Sports Twill Applique - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res bitmap image with 300dpi+ | The design needs to be a thick style with no intricate or small detailing
- Drill Vintage Applique - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res bitmap image with 300dpi+ | The design needs to be a thick style with no intricate or small detailing and PMS colour matches are not possible
- 3D Embroidery - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res bitmap image with 300dpi+ | The design needs to be a thick style with no intricate or small detailing
Screen Printing
- Spot Colours on Darks - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | Suitable for Logos up to 7 Colours, perfect for colour matching to PMS colours | Requires a White Base Print which is counted as a colour for pricing purposes | A soft thin print that over time with washing will appear washed out but lasts the life of the garment.
- No Base 'Vintage Look' - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | No white base print used, so more of the fabric texture and colour will show through the screenprint | Cannot be colour matched with PMS due to fabric colour affecting fabric outcome | Contemporary 'vintage' look.
- Spot Colours on Lights - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | Suitable for Logos up to 7 Colours, perfect for colour matching to PMS colours | A soft thin print that over time with washing will appear washed out, but lasts the life of the garment.
- 4 Colour Process Print - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res CMYK bitmap image with 300dpi+ | Has an 'old authentic look' | Suitable for logos with more than 7+ colours | Coloured tees have a white base under print | Only suitable for Tshirts | Cannot be fully PMS colour matched | Runs over 100+ units are recommended due to set up costs.
- Metallic Prints - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | Textured print | Cannot be PMS matched | Limited colour range.
- Foil Prints - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | Mirror like finish to print | Garment requires hand washing to sustain Foil Print | No PMS matching but range of colours available.
- Direct Print onto Non Woven Tote Bags - must be an open file such as .AI or .EPS | Great for large prints in 1 colour | Suitable for up-to 3 colours.
Direct to Garment Printing
- Direct Digital Print - an open file such as .AI or .EPS or a hi-res image .JPG or .PNG | Only suitable on light colours - white, grey marle etc | Good for runs of under 60 units | Does not print White.
